How much for clutch replacement?
Ive got a 92 bone stock CX and it seems to be slipping a bit sometimes in 1st gear, does anyone who works at a shop who can give me a ballpark on replacement? I dont have the tools or the place to do it myself.
Car has no options to get in the way.
Replacement would just be an OE clutch, i dont need a 3 puck to get that beastly 70hp down to the wheels

yeah that is some cheap labor a shop down the road from me that has the cheapest prices around us in labor charges 326 to replace the clutch and we charge more than that but yeah you are looking at about $300-$400 in labor and the clutch price is also going to vary depending on where you go and what kind of clutch you get
if you buy oem, its like 120 for the disc, 120 for the pressure plate, and like 60 for the throwout bearing. definatly not worth it. buy a exedy stange 1 for like 150 bucks, and have your local mechanic install it. i think honda pays around 3.5-4.5hrs for a clutch, and the average dealer is 80hr. so if you go oem its going to be expencive. also if you clutch is sliping in 1st you either have an oil cantamination problem of a very very smoked clutch. usually they slip in 4th, or 3rd. you can check your clutch by releasing the clutch in 4th gear at idle very slowly and very fast to see if the car stalls. it should stall. if it doesn't your clutch is probably sliping.
Thanks for the advice, i'll check on that. It might just be me letting the clutch out too quick on it. I just figured my cars got about 130k on it with the stock clutch and it was about time it started going.

at the dealer i worked at it wasn;t uncomon to see cars with 160k+ with the stock clutch. as long as it doesn;t get contaminated or you don't ride the clutch theres no reason an oem clutch won't go till 200k+. my truck has 194k on it origanal clutch.
