I've been trying to get alot of info on swaps for my 2000 civic. And i was talking to a guy today and he said that an rsx k20 would fit almost perfect in my car. And that it is legal now i'm pretty sure this isn't true. But i wanted to check just to make sure. Is it possible to put a k20 in a 2000 civic and be legal and pass smog or at least be able to get bar'd? Is it a good fit or should i go with just a 00 si engine or gsr?

you need to do a whole lot of work to get a k20 bar'd. there was a thread in one of these forums a while back where a guy did all the work necessary to get the bar sticker, and by the time he was done he did so much cutting and fab work it wasnt very streetable anymore.

yeah, i remember that thread...that was in an eg though, not sure what is necessary in an ek.
