Default code 9 dohc zc help

short story.... i have code 9 just put on a dizzy idles like **** how can i fix it?

longer story if your bored................ok to start out I have had my car with a dohc zc in it for about a year. Never had any issues except the main relay. The other day my distributor started to make a crazy noise took the cap off red dust covered everything. So I go purchase a re man (im broke) distributor from auto zone (I know I should have went elsewhere). I take mine off the bearings where going bad shaft was siezed, it was still working then put the reman dist on. Nothing it doesn't work go to put mine back on and the shaft completly siezed, couldn't even turn it over in a vice. So now im out a distributor. I go back to autozone they give me **** about taking the dist back that didn't work and then I get my core and some old guy there that was driving a corvett said is that for a 89 integra i got one ill sell it to you for 50 bucks. So im like hell yea ill get that from you cause this one from autozone isn't gonna be here until wends. So i get the one from him and it works from the gas station my car was at to my house (5 miles) then to walmart (5 miles) then to school this morninig (10 miles) but on the way home it throws code 9. I pull over at the store got some things i needed from the store started my car back up and it didn't throw the code. When i got home i started to play with my dizzy allite bit, advancing it and retarting it, then code 9 comes on and it idles like ****. So i go ... hmmmmm turn off the car try it again the car runs for about 5 sec then code 9. I put the distriubor all the way advanced like it has always been for the year i have the car turn it back on 5 sec go by and code 9 pops up. I disconect the battery and disconect the ecu for about 20 min hook everything back up 5 sec go back code 9 idles like ****. Could it be the dizzy? or is it the sensor or what help appricated.

Code 9 is CYP sensor, so since you've had this through several distributors I'd be willing to guess that there's something wrong with the wiring between the dizzy and CYP.

i rewired the wire coming off cps to the back of the distributor still the same problem could this be dizzy related??? any other ideas??? help much appricated. Car idles high like 1100 rpms at operating temp (usually at 800 rpms)after driving for a couple mins itll fluxuate at idle from 1500 to 500 rpms and then once i start to drive it runs fine.

I had the same code when I changed my cams. I timing was off a little bit. Double check timing, or possible cyl sensor went bad.

Try troubleshooting the CYP sensor if you're sure the wiring is good. Try and fix the code before messing with something else... I'm willing to bet that something got rattled loose when you were changing distributors.
