Default f22 motor, h22 tranny

I was thinking about doing the H22 swap from and the auto to manual conversion, but its too much of a hassle and I've never driven a manual before so I'd have to learn too.

I live in So Cal so its like 24/7 traffic so I can't even drive that fast/I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

So since my tranny is f'ing up I was thinking that I should either get a JDM f22 tranny or an H22 tranny?

Does anyone have this set-up ? If I were to do this (H22) I would have to get a H22 ECU right?

You would need the H22 tcu ( transmission control unit)

But the H22 Will work fine with the F22 motor.

I have a friend that has a H22 tranny on an f22, the gears are smaller on the H22 so your acceleration is quicker, but your top speed is suffering,

But All he did was swap the TCU also, works fine

Correct. H22 engine swap = H22 ECU swap also.

Cool Thanks a lot. How long ago did he swapped the trannys and is it still running good?

I have a 96 accord LX 4door. I want to do an engine swap to a H22 but how many models are there? I hear alot that the accord is heavy and slow but is this true? I have the money to put it all together but I want to know if it would be worth the trouble. I want to make it fast so what would be the best engine swap for it?
