I know i have two cams ( gsr ) so therefore, i bought 2 cam seals ( bdl/str). NOw my question is, there the distributor is, is there also a cam seal there? or just a dist.. o ring? i put the cam seal on the cam closest to the rad support, so is there one closest to firewall? i took the dist offf and saw nothing.

 

There are three cam seals and an o-ring. The o-ring on the distributor, the solid seal with no hold in the center goes on the tranny side of the exhaust cam, and then two identical seals with holes in the center go on the timing belt side of each cam.

 

so i bought two cam seals, and a distributor o ring. I needed three? i replaced the o ring, and the cam seal on the tranny side of the cam closest to the headlight, so im guessing thats exhaust? so i need on more? i have 1 new seal still.

 

damn....this just reminded me i need to do my camseal change soon..one is getting a lil leak goin...

The extra seal you bought, if it's the same as the first one, solid with no hole all the way thru the middle, then you don't need it, you only need one of those.
