I believe the CTR black color is called Starlight Black Pearl. It has purple flakes in the sunlight.

Sunlight Yellow - Y-56
New Vouge Silver Metalic - NH-583M
Starlight Black Pearl - NH-592P
Championship White - NH-0

People need to stop saying Nighthawk, this is the third thread I've been in where people say that Nighthawk is the 6th gen black color. It is not. It's the 7th Gen Black.

Flamenco/Starlight is black with a gold fleck pearl, and Nighthawk is black with a blue fleck pearl.

No, it's got gold fleck. Starlight Black Pearl is the exact same color as Flamenco Black Pearl, the black on 99-00 Civics and USDM Integra Type R's.

What Eran said.

And it's Sunlight aka Phoenix Yellow. Same color, different name. New Vogue Silver Metallic is also the same as Vogue Silver Metallic.

Oh, and Flamenco Black is actually on USDM '98-'00 Civics.

From what I've seen:

Granada Black Pearl 96-98 = Gold flake
Flamenco Black Pearl 99-00= Blue flake
Starlight Black Pearl 99-00 = Purple flake
Nighthawk Black Pearl = I'm not sure. Never had the chance to wax an ITR.

Where can you buy these paints from? And how much do you think it would cost?

I officially know you don't know what you're talking about since you

A) Think Flamenco has blue fleck
B) Think Starlight and Flamenco are different colors
C) Thinking all ITR's come in Nighthawk Black.

Granada = Red Fleck
Flamenco/Starlight = Gold Fleck
Nighthawk = Blue Fleck

ITR + CTR = Flamenco/Starlight Black Pearl until 2001

Nighthawk is on the ITR ONLY for 2001.

http://www.itrca.com/FAQ/general/colors.php

Once again, Flamenco Black Pearl was offered for '98 to '00 on Civics. Nighthawk is not a CTR color (it was not on any 6th gen Civic), and Starlight is the same color code as Flamenco Black Pearl.

Here is NH-592P in the USDM EPC, along with the color name.

Here is NH-592P in the EDM EPC, along with the color name.

Thanks NOFX. Good info

I'd like to see Flamenco/Starlight next to Nighthawk in the sun just to see the difference for myself.

Seeing as how I used to own both a Granada black 96 EX and a Flamenco black 99 Si I know what fleck is in it. Granada is gold, Flamenco is blue. Right now I own a black 99 hatchback that the previous owner had repainted to ITR black. He didn't specify the paint code or model year for the color but told me it was Starlight. I see proof that Flamenco and Starlight are the same color. I'm now guessing my current car Nighthawk black. In the sunlight my hatchback has purple fleck.

The pearl in Granada is red. Starlight is the same color as Flamenco. Flamenco is definitely not a blue pearl. Nighthawk has the blue pearl.

Granada = '92-97, NH-503P
Flamenco/Starlight = '98-00, NH-592P
Nighthawk = '01+, B-92P

'00 ITRs are FBP. '01 ITRs are NBP.

If your hatchback has purple fleck, it's not a Honda color. There is no Honda with purple fleck.

And as said by me, NOFX, and Targa,

Granada = Red
Flamenco = Gold
Nighthawk = Blue

So stop trying prove me wrong.

Or he could just read the thread .... which you seem to have forgotten to do.

All the 97-99 CTR colors were listed in here, with color codes.

Maaco might have color samples of stock Honda (and other makes) colors for the US. They would probably be listed by year, not by model.

Similar to the way they are listed on this site:
http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/

So there might be two or three or more blacks for one year alone. The colors would have the company color code (for example, DuPont) and would also have the color code form the maker, which would be found in the doorjamb of most Hondas.

So iti's very probable they would not have a color listed as Starlight Black Pearl. Though I do think some US dealerships have some parts listed in this name. I've heard reports that certain rear lips and such were badged as Starlight instead of Flamenco. Since all US dealerships are likely usnig the same EPC, the dealership has probably been told by another dealership who shipped the lip to the US dealership that the color is Starlight. This leads me to believe that the color could be called Starlight in the Canadian EPCs. I just can't imagine that US dealerships do much business with any other markets, and business with other Honda dealerships in Canada is probably most likley of all.

I have both the USDM and EDM EPC though, so I can get the color codes from those EPCs and can find parts from the markets those EPCs cover. We have the JDM EPC, but unfortunately it appears almost to be corrupt in some way.
