Skunk 2 camshafts question?????????????????????????
I just bought some skunk 2 stage 1 camshafts.. i jez read about it and it sayd that stage 1 are compatiable with factory valvetrain..so i gez that means i can run these babies with my stock valvetrain components then right???also it says that valvetrain upgrade recommended?? so i dont really no if i should upgrade my valvetrain or not since it says i can run these with my stock valvetrain?? do you think it will be better if i do upgrade the valvetrain or not?? also these camshaft says CARB-EO pending?? what do that mean?? does it mean these camshafts will pass smog emmision??? please reply back if you are familiar with this..?

it is recommended to upgrade any valvetrain when installing new camshafts, id suggest titanium valve springs and retainers, carb-oe pending means that the product has not yet been passed through emissions yet but with certain things it will make it through emissions

You COULD use the factory valvetrain but you shouldnt rev too high. Its reccomended to upgrade your valvetrain when you get a new set of cams that way you can take full advantage and allow them to be used to their full potential. Ive heard of a few people ruining their motors by not upgrading.

lol jk, when it comes time for inspection, put your stock cam(s) back in. Aftermarket cams have big lobes, which let more air+fuel into the cylindar, which means that more emssions will be emitted from your exhaust, which is a big no-no to cali motor vehicle inspections.
