PRICE DROP!!! i need quick cash.
i have a '98 JDM, ITR motor for sale. i bought it from HMO. since i've owned the motor, i've had new valve seals installed, new pistons/rings, new crank, new main/rod bearings, new OBD-II oil pump, all new gaskets, nuts and bolts, and new water pump.. i also have the build sheet from when all the bearings were replaced (with OEM, honda bearings).
motor was assembled using AEBS headstuds.
long block only. no dist/tranny/exhaust included.
willing to seperate head/short block.
anyway, the <u>motor has a 45% leak down on cyl one</u>. i don't have time to fix the motor, so i'm giving up and letting 'er go. according to the leak down the problem is a bent valve. easy fix.
engine is in Fresno, CA. pick up only.
i think that's it. if you guys have any questions, let me know. motor is out of the car and ready to go.
$1,500 O.B.O.

important point: 45% leakdown on cyl 1. i've already had people asking me why i'm selling it so cheap... i think they are skipping right over what is wrong with the motor. i intend to be VERY upfront that it needs work.
i figure $1,000 off HMO's price is pretty fair.
thanks for the PMs and comments, guys.

what ever i can get my hands on. i'd fix this one, but i don't have the time nor money. if it turns out to be only a bent valve, as i suspect, i'll keep it. otherwise, i gotta get rid of this one and get something else. hopefully, i can swing another JDM motor.
i hate to give this one up 'cause everything in it is new... but i need a QUICK fix. swapping motors is my fastest option.

how much do u think it cost to fix this ?</TD></TR></TABLE>
dunno. you would need to consult your local shop. the leakdown is telling me it's an exhaust valve. so.. i'm thinking about:
12205-PR3-305 GUIDE, EX. VALVE 2000 INTEGRA $6.74
12211-PZ1-003 SEAL B, VALVE STEM (ARAI) 2000 INTEGRA $1.14
or
12211-PZ1-004 SEAL B, VALVE STEM (NOK) 2000 INTEGRA $1.14
14721-PR3-000 VALVE, EX. 2000 INTEGRA $28.36
headgasket is about $85
total = $150 after tax, etc. more if you have someone do the labor. if i have time, i'll fix the motor and raise the price. .. i'm just really busy, right now, and don't want to deal with it.
