ksport LCA bushings shot already!?!?
I have been using the ksport rear lcas for a little more than a year now and the bushings that bolts to the TA on both sides are already shot. The one on the drivers side has a big rip on it and the one on the pass side looks like it got detached from the metal sleeve. I dont understand because the oem bushings on my oem lca didnt look like that when i took them off to install these.
Will the shot bushings cause any problems to my suspension?
Have any of you ever experienced this with the ksport lcas?
I'll take some pics tomorrow to show you guys what i mean, and im going to check all the other bushing aswell.

did you guys tighten the bolts that go through the bushings with the suspension under load or when it was up on jackstands?
i'm not a fan of ksport either...

That's what you get for buying "budget" coilovers just because they're shiny and can lower your Civic four inches. They make up for poor quality with super-high springrates and uncomfortable valving. Live and learn, man.

well if you dont tighten the bolts when the car is loaded..... the bushings are always going to be "twisted" (so to speak) when you're driving or even parked. That could definitley inflict a premature lifespan.

from that statement it would appear that oem can take more abuse than ksport...
i have srr lca's and have yet to have any problems, but i also tightened them properly...

Yeah well this sucks, if i remember correctly i did tighten the bushings under load because that was the only way i could get the lca to connect to the chassie.
I installed them correct and they are still cracked. Like i said i'll try to snap some pics later and post them up.
I was going to get ksport coilovers but having second thoughts now.....

Well was your car ever lowered when you had the stock bushings? Oem bushings are higher quality, but they will also crack over time if they are not pre-loaded before tightening.

thats right they are budget coilovers but not all of us have a thousand dollars laying around to buy really really nice ones. and since i got mine and a hooked up price its fine with me. besides, they kick the **** out of the blown out apc coilovers that came on my car when i bought it off some ricer kid.

have you tried adjusting the stiffness on the coilover? it took me a while to find my perfect spot, but once i did it was perfect. no problems.
but since they are budget products you cant really expect too much from them. but so far my coilovers and my lcas are cool, and they were on my buddies car for near a year and then he sold em to me when he sold his car, and ive had em for a few months no problems *crosses fingers*

What do you mean it hits hard? Like bottoms out? I have them and haven't bottomed out ever.

I guess I might have the same problem as you, although I think it can be my sway bar endlink. It makes a thunk sound sometimes when I hit small dips or make turns a little fast. However, when I stand on my radiator support and bounce up and down, it doesn't make a noise.

Thunk, tunk, what can it be? I've check my sway bar end links, it seems to be good. Im going to put energy bushings all around to see if they make a diffrent.

I'm running the same setup, and haven't had any problems, I guess it varies from setup to setup. I make canyon runs evey other weekend and it feels great, I'm also running ASR and sustec bars which might make a difference, but it's weird to hear this happening after 3 months. Give them a call and see what they'll do for you.
