Trouble removing front strutbar mount
Hey guys newbie here!
One of my mounting bolts for the front strut has been sheared off, probably from over torquing. I did a search on the forum and the most common way seems to be to bash it from the top till the welds holding the head breaks off.
I tried it but found the welds to be too strong to break off, in fact the plate its welded to started to bend.

The plate had bent quite a bit more (probably a 10mm clearance), but I tried to drive a wedge between the head and the plate to loosen up the weld before ultimately giving up
.

Anyone have any ideas? Remember it's pretty cramped under there also...

all you have to do to remove that tacked on stud is to hit it from the top with a punch and a 3-5lb sledge hammer.
Mine snapped off brilliantly in an unrelated encounter with a pothole the size of a crater (alignment etc went ALL wack after falling in) and I found the stud mysteriously snapped afterwards...
Position the punch carefully and hit it hard.
