Installed ST rear sway bar, LCA's and Neuspeed lower tie bar, problems :(
I Installed a ST rear sway bar on my 90 Civic hatch today. We took it for a test spin and ran great, till we heard this thud, the bolt that attaches near the shock mount sliped with the whole bracket that is on the shock?
Anyone know why this happened?
Also the damn Neuspeed bar doesnt mount the way they tell you in the directions and had to install it the other end up but seems to be ok.
Also my DC sports exhuast doesnt clear the sway bar at all
Thinking about doing a Stainless pipe out the the rear, no muffler "wasnt loud at all turbo car"
Any suggestsions would be great, going to rip it apart tommorow again to find why my bracket slipped
You can see the bolt pointing down on the pic, thats what slipped downwards
Neuspeed bar installed other way around
Bolt/bracket slip

you have the bracket on reversed the little tab that sticks up on the bracket keeps it from slipping on the mount for the shock.
Does the double holes need to be on the shock end? Mine hs the double going to the rod, so probabaly wrong
dunno really hole wise....but the little tab sticks up and will install towards the shock and it will keep it from spinning on the bolt

i know this post is old. but I also had problems with the tab on the brackets, they were an 1/8 inch off so i ended up cutting them off and welding them back. otherwise they would have rotated slightly back and forth the way they were.
also wasnt able to reach the last adjusting hole of the 3
