9lbs of torque on Oil pan bolts
9lbs doesnt seem like much.
Is that just like super hand tight?
Ive broken 2 studs using torque wrench cause i cant tell when wrench stops since 9lbs doesnt seem to be anything
.
Anyone every just hand tightened them with a regular rachet and been ok?

9lbs ends up being too much anyways. I use a 1/4" ratchet and watch the gasket. Once it starts to squezee out just a tiny bit your good. 9lbs ends up crushing the gasket too much and it will leak.

and remember to torque in the right sequence...
snug one side then the opposite side then the opposite corner then the opposite side....if that makes sense.
once snug follow the same pattern to tighten. tighten like said above. once the gasket gets squeezed give it another 1/4 turn
if you just go around it will leak alot sooner...its gonna leak eventually anyway, so no worries
