Need help body damage options
I have a 2000 si in red. It was hit before i bought it but repaired. the spots hit were the rear quarter panels. my doors are pink. the repair job was shitty. you can see orange peel and a little bondo. both my rear fenders are kinda trashed and there are minor dents on my door. my fenders are perfect though (carbon fiber). i need to know what is the most cost effective way to repair this. i was thinking a wide body kit but they seem rather excessive looking. ive thought about selling the car and just starting from blank. but ive invested a lot into it. any help or ideas would be awesome.
thanks
thanks
the dents are mainly above the tire rear quarter panel but below the body line. there is one nasty dent above the body line but just one,
well, my car was hit in the door and rear quarter. really shitty body work was done and now we are having to fix it.
we had to strip down about a 12" tall x 24" wide spot (thats door and rear quarter) and refill/bondo/shape/block/prime blah blah.
i was told that this job would cost 1000, unpainted. then you have to add in cost of paint and such.
now...the damage on your car is no where near as bad as mine. if there arent any cracks in the bodno (that could let water in) and its just a poor job of painting/clearing. then id say to have it fixed would run around 800-1000 bucks.
im no body man, i dont know how much it would actually take. im just comparing what im having done to my car to what you need done to yours.
mabey someone can chime in with more knowlege about it.
here is a pic for comparison.

that bondo WAS 1/4 thick, we had to remove the bondo and pull the body out...the correct way.
