Hey guys i was wondering if you guys can help me out with this one. right now when i shift, the car goes into gear and drives fine. however, every now and then when in gears i go to give it some gas and it revs high as if it is not engaging and then it decides to catch. is this a problem with my clutch or is it my transmission?

also, this has only happened like 2 times when it was really cold out, but the engine stutters at the beginning of 2nd and sometimes 3rd as if the gas cuts out. what causes that?

finally, the car has very strong exhaust smells as if its running rich. any suggestions to fixing this?

also, what will i have to do to fix it? i wanna get input on here before taking it to a mechanic.

 

sounds like clutch slippage to me...

 

anyone else have any input?

werd. how many miles on your clutch?

 

yeah sounds like your clutch is slipping. i had that happen to me before. not fun.
