Is there any way to take out the stock valve spring from my 97 civic ex when the head is still inside the block or you have to take out the cylinder head in order to take out the stock valve spring. I want to replace it w/ either crower valve spring or skunk 2 valve spring.

 

well you could use air. put motor on tdc and use a air to fill cly. like with a compression gauge adapter.my pops did this years ago on a 65 chevy impala to change springs.just go slow and take time. but something goes wrong youll end up taken head off anyways. gl
