HELP.... MPFI SWAP COMPLETED
I have a 90 civic dx that i recently did the mpfi swap on, and now the throttle response is sluggish when the car is cold. when it warms up it is fine. but when the enginr is cold, its like it sputters when i step on the gas. i mated an ls throttle body on there and im thinking that that has something to do with it. any help is appreciated. o yea already searched so i dont wanna hear that this has been covered. thanks
well... why dont you just let the car warm up before you drive it? i did the mpfi swap and mine is alittle sluggish when cold.. but its not that bad that i care. it probably has something to do with the d15b2 isnt supposed to have that intake manifold on it. too much air and fuel. i dont think you can really fix this problem.
but is that common for the mpfi conversion tho? has anyone else had this problem before and fixed it? i think that its somethin to do with the wrong tb on there. do you have an si tb on yours?
i have an si throttle body and my car does feel a little shitty when cold. ive been told the same thing, just let it warm up for 5min and it will be better.
mines the stock si TB .. i honestly dont even think about it and dont care its so minor i cant really notice. the extra HP makes up for the throttle response which isnt that bad anyways.. iv driven newer cars with horrible throttle response
