I bought a wrecked 93 gsr for the swap in my EG, but I considered switching the tranny out and doing a Hydro. I kinda want to keep the ys1 for the low gearing, and trying to see what the cost difference would be.
just do a gsr or a b16 tranny why would you want to do a cable when your cars already set for a hydro it don't make no sense just do a hydro and put a lsd in it and you will be happy or an itr tranny but it will cost you bout a grand but just my opinion but if you want to sell hit me up cause i need it for my da build

Yes I know it would be easier. This project is my lowbudget car. I already have a built B16 turbo car with a quafie. The ys1 try has lower gears then all other b trannys so I thought about keeping it just for that. Doing the cable to hydro conversion isnt that hard. Avid has a nice mount to do the conversion. I dont want to drop a grand on a tranny, I paid less then that for whole b17 swap.
Thanks for the input.

I've owned 3 wagons and about to be buying my 4th actually. They are a lovely vehicle.
BTW, I forgot to mention the cable tranny is in my hydro 92 hatch

whoever said that is full of bs. GSR YS1 gearing has a 4.4 final drive ratio. Basicallyl same as an ITR trans without the lsd.
Depending on condition, going rate is between 250-450
