I have an h22a1 tranny out of my lude. It's the M2F4 (USDM 4th gen tranny) and it has about 100k on it. Absolutely NO grinds when I pulled it. It shifted PERFECT. I pulled it because I plan on using my h23 tranny for my turbo project.
I had the tranny apart to fix the speedo gear. I had it pressed on and during reassembly, the clutch housing got cracked so I purchased one from HT (which was red and had new bearings installed) and swapped out the gears into it. As you can see in the pictures, it had a red clutch housing. Since it was painted by the previous owner, it does not have the sticker on it claiming it's the M2F4. Since I had it sold, I threw away the old case. I have people that will vouch that the tranny is indeed an M2F4.
I have a VSS, but it has a busted bracket (anyone with H/F series knowledge knows that if you over torque that bolt by 1 ft-lb, it will break the bracket). I have the brackets that bolt to the tranny but didn't put them on when I was assembling it.
Here are the tranny ratios:
M2F4 - 3.307 - 1.950 - 1.360 - 1.071 - 0.870 - 4.266

Still trying to sell that h22a1 tranny?? I need it. how much will u take for it? I have a f22b trans i can trade u which we all know that the f22b is the stock replacement for the h23 so it has the same ratios. Let me know
