I have JDM header, A.Teo cat, Toda B cams, and barely passed smog in Louisville, KY. I had to retard timing max, drive the car really hot... by "barely", I mean on one of the parameters I got 218 out of 220 allowable PARTS PER MILLION. In a 99 Si with B16A (not ITR).

All I know is that Jersey sucks ***. Especially when it comes to inspections. Listen to this crap. First, my friend has an S2000, and then they put it up on the lift to run it for emissions, the put the front wheels on the rollers Secondly, they tried to tell him that Honda didnt make any cars with HID headlights Third, they said his gas cap was defective

Ok, so naturally he failed his inspection. He had to tell them that the car was RWD, and he had to go to Honda to get some kinda proof that the car came with HID headlights. I guess a faulty gas cap is possible, but come on!!! Ruckin Freetards Not the kind of people I would want "inspecting" my car.

Jersey sucks.

How about failing for having a shift **** with no gear pattern printed on it? What a load of crap. I know people in California who have passed with Carsounds.

EDIT: I'm not sure if they had larger headers though.

That's a stupid reason for failing. Next time stick a piece of masking tape over your shiftknob and draw in the numbers with a Sharpie the next time you need to have your car inspected.

Lets say your car is stock internaly how would a JDM honda 4-1 effect emissions? Why would a 2.5 collector and a CARB certified cat not allow you to pass the sniff.
