Default Need help finding the right stuff for my new car

ok i just bought a 95 civic ex coupe. i have about $1000 for parts and i wanted to know what you guys think is the best for lowering, shocks, intake, lightbulbs. I only want to lower the car 1"-1.5" max cause the tires will rub the inside when i turn

I just got a new catback exhaust and 5Zigen GN+ 16" rims(bronze).

I was looking at the
AEM Cold Air Intake 229.97
TEIN H-Tech Springs 179.95
Tokico HP Series Shocks 155.60(front) 147.20(rear)

Put a big nix on all of those.

AEM CAI - Waste of money, won't net you any gains. Keep your stock airbox and get a good filter for it, like DC Sports Foam or K&N Paper.

Tein H-Tech - Sloppy spring rates, almost as sloppy as stock. Get some Sport rated springs (H&R Sport, Eibach Sportline, Neuspeed Sport).

Tokico HP - Waste of money, they're a stock replacement. Get some Koni Yellows (best of the bunch), Tokico Illuminas, or KYB AGX's.

If you can't pay, you can't play.

K&N Filter - $45
H&R Sport - $170
Koni Yellow - $500

That's still way under your $1000 budget.

Math owns your cheap ***.

Then buy from an eBay store or someone with 1000+ positive ratings.

as soon as i get the passenger headlight i will do a DIY(Do It Yourself) so you can buy those euro type headlights and retrofit them with some nice tsx projectors and put some HID's into that ride of yours so u can see better at night. Properly done HID(no pnp kits) are 10x better than halogens

if you are gonna do suspension, i put kyb agx and eibach sportlines on my car.

its a 92 hatch.

it gave about a 1.5 - 1.7 drop but still rides very nice.

leave it stock till you learn how to search, if you start modding i assure you you'll start regretting everything you put on once you find out how worthless those parts were.

HIDs will enhance visibility at night.

go with tokico whites on the shocks..search on ebay you can get great prices there. make sure the person you buy from has good feedback(it doesnt have to be perfect) i usually look for if he is at least in the 90's%....and with lots of feedback..

what size tires do you have that'll rub with more then a 1.5 drop?

Don't waste your money on tokico hps, please dont.
And don't waste your money on a AEM intake.

i think you need to follow the instructions others have offered, lower your car, and learn before you start buying stuff.

Then save up for a swap.
