My friend just bought an '89 325i the other day and it had a short shift kit on it, which I absolutely loved. So keep in mind, I don't know anything about it, but I know I want it, haha I'm looking for any sort of advice as to which brand would be the best deal, what it takes to install a short shift kit into this specific car, personal experiences with 'em... The basics. Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

Oh, since I'm already on the subject of shifters, anyone know where I can get a comfortable shifter ****? I want something nice looking, preferably some sort of black/red combo, that fits the grip of my hand better than that dang stock shifter ****.
