also ask him why the 74 and below cars that spit out black smoke (rich) dont have to be smogged, which can easily be modded to do so.

ask him why disesl trucks with power programnsers are legal while a little 1.6l-2.4l civic is known as a gross polluter and traget them instead of the huge american cars that werent desighned with emissons in mind

(honda is knows to be pro emissons or enviorment)

From what i understand you can not mix match parts of different series (ex: H2B, H2D, D2B, etc). The motor has to be complete with transmission of same model series.

Take "5 hundred dollas in ones"

That'll help you pass.

but I agree with the guy above. I too heard both engine and tranny have to be from the same car.

74 and older cars never came with a catalytic converter from the factory. any vehicle that has a converter from the factory must undergo a emissions test.

My EG with Evolution Industries H2B kit is CA Bar'ed. Its exactly the same proccess as if you were to swap a regular H22. Just make sure you have all of the US spec emissions equipment, make sure it passes smog, make sure you have the US P13 ECU, and make sure that the year/obd of the vehicle and engine match up and you should have your CA Bar sticker.
