i kno it's a dumb question. i probable kno the answer. but i just wanna swap this head in this car, get it running and sell it.. cause the head on this is fucked and the camshaft is scored.. it ceased to the head and stripped the camshaft sprocket.. i kno the pistons are fitted with valve reliefs for a 16 valve, but hahahah can i get away with putting an 8 valve?? i got one laying around, well if it wont work at all does some1 have a 16 valve head for sale??

 

Yes, you can put the 8 valve head on. The foot print is the same as the 16 valve head. The 8 valve head just doesn't have the other valves, where they would go, if it was machined for the 16.
