Im trying to post a for sale thread on the mid-alantic market place for a S2000 transmission came out of a 2004 I believe . Its grinding gears so im sure it will need to be rebuilt but its still a good core trans for someone that is looking to build a transmission . im just looking to post a fair price that will make me happy and whomever buys it happy

 

there was a TSB for some tranny grinds on the S. it can easily be fixed. not sure what a good price would be though.

 

that would be for ap1. ap2's have the sweetest gearbox ever.

I know this its not a im not selling it here was clearly asking what it was worth so i could sell it on market place I know the rules im always on the EF threads talking oh well ill find out somewhere else

maybe you should state the question more directly. you never "clearly" ask for anything nor do i see a ? mark anywhere.....wierd....

 

Your correct LAS2K I was in a hurry when I wrote that post last night sorry guys I forget sometimes when you type on a web page that little black letters dont have any expression so its hard for people to understand just what Im trying to say . It does look like a FS ad . but really is just a question becuase i didnt know the value of the Core transmission . I was just wondering what would be a fair price to sell a good Core transmission that definatly needs to be rebuilt out of an S2000 on the H-T market place ? Again i apologize

lol no prob just don't want the thread to get locked. i see your point. i would take it to a tranny shop and ask how much they charge for a rebuild, then deduct that price from a good tranny and then subtract another hundred or so for hassle.

 

If I had $$ right now i'd take it.. I have to fight my 00 tranny to go into 2nd after my 8th or 9th pass at the track while guys with ap2's power shift every gear. =/
