if your worried about 350 bucks for a 200hp SOHC build, then you need to search way way more ...

You have some goals that apparently don't match your pocketbook.

Pistons
Rods
Cam
Valve Springs
Valves
Retainers
Intake Manifold
Chipped ECU with dyno/street tune

If you don't think it's worth it, then don't get it. It's apparent you'd rather save money than build your car.

The cheapest way to get there is nitrous. If you're too broke to do it the right way, then don't do it at all. Focus on your exterior, or save your pennies.

I dont think a D can make 200whp going NA...i could be wrong but i have never heard of one...boost or squeeze thats it...here is a good plan for you to follow

save up $5000 and put it toward internals a turbo kit and tunning and it will get you close

cutting your wrist.... j/k

just buy parts after parts...once you have everything, throw everything in at once...if not, start with the block...that way you only bring i apart once...some of the head work can be done with the head on the block...

Pistons --> Raise Compression (power)
Rods --> Strengthen Powertrain
Cam --> Increase lift/duration (more air+fuel)
Valve Springs \
Valves > Allow higher revving
Retainers /
Intake Manifold --> More air
Chipped ECU with dyno/street tune -- Make the most of your modifications

You'll also need some bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump (depending on the severity of your tune and how chunky your cams are).

N/A is like a jigsaw puzzle. You have all these pieces, and you don't really have what you want until all the pieces are put together.

It's possible, just not very friendly for a daily driver.

I am just being honest...will it get him over 200 maybe I dont know for sure, but it should get him in that ball park. he may buy everything off ebay causing him to fall short due to **** poor parts.

you are not going to get anywhere near 200whp with a NA D without serious money and time. just boost the damn thing if you want 200whp.

a stock d16z6 makes what, 105whp on a good day? you want to add another 95-100whp on top of that. and retain daily driveability? boost is your easiest option. seriously.

i would say if you swap in a B18c5 would be your best bet.

A) your stock motor is old and tired
B) Its not far from 200 hp
C) It would be fun for a DD, Not work
