hey guys my da shuts off now and then its weird... as soon as i let it out of gear and the rpms drop, itll drop too low and just shut off sometimes i can save it by just reving it before rpms hit zero... but what could it be ? battery? alternator? belt? it starts right up afterwards.... it did it once last week and hasnt done it since today .it did it like 5 times today... please heellllp!!!! thank you!

 

Does it run ok while it's in gear? Does it ever bog down on u? Are u running really rich or lean? Any cels? Hows ur timing?

 

the car runs fine when its in gear... it only bogs down when i take it out of gear.... but even sometimes when i take it out of gear itll drop pretty low and bounce back up to 1000 rpms.. my car is running rich i believe... well it sure as hell smells like it. im not really sure about my timing is though

ok so i just went to go fill it up with gas onn the way there it shut off on me again... actaully... came close but i saved it and reved it up before it went to zero... once i filled it up with gas it didnt do it again although it still continued to idle a little wierd any thoughtS?

Well since you are able to restart, then I don't think its' the battery or charging system. Start with IAC. make sure it's clean and operating. Next fuel pressure(could be a plugged fuel filter). Get a repair manual to help aid in trouble shooting.

 

hahah i did figure it out i cleaned out the fitv and changed the fuel filter and flushed the fuel injectors and now it runs great thanks guys!

 

sounds like im guna have to try that... even though im tired of dumping money into this problem i will be happy if it even gos away.
