-Turbo
-Turbo Manifold
-Wastegate
-Charge pipes
-Intercooler
-Couplers
-Blow off valve
-Oil lines to turbo
-Bigger injectors
- Some sort of tuning system (crome, hondata, uberdata)
etc.

Not going to be cheap i tell ya.

You can get a kit off ebay probably for like 500 bucks. should be pretty high quality.

plus gaskets, fittings etc. you can do it economically, i finished up my kit for about 1500, if you can find some deals you will save alot of money. the most expensive part for me was all the prep work. rebuild, block work, etc. gl on the build.

yea but those kits usually come with a base map for your car with that kit. unless you want more power you should be ok just running that map. injectors and intercooler with piping should run you moer than about 500.

A stock d16z6 is good for 250whp. You can piece together a DSM turbo (Eagle Talon, Mits. Eclipse) DSM injectors and other pieces for pretty cheap. I believe they even modify the hx or cx manifold and fabricate an adapter plate. Check these sites out.

250hp on a stock motor!!!! that sounds good way more than what i was thinking..i think ima go with the greedy kit witha edlebrock intake manifold on a hondata tunnig system..a metel head gasket and some dsm injecters and i should be good for a while..untill i want to build

On a good tune its possible. Check those sites out and look at everyones builds. You can piece together a junkyard DSM set up for less than that 1500 greddy kit without an intercooler

Very true, but if you have the money and dont mind spending 2grand on the set you want then by all means that is whats best for you. It wont take a long time, but if you piece yours together instead of a kit you have to do a lot of searching and price comparisons.

my boy has a complete d series kit that will be pretty close to bolt on for you. Its for an ek so intercooler piping might be a lil off but not much. He doesnt want much needs to sell to finish his other car. I think he wants like 1000 bucks. All youll need is something to tune with... Pm me a # and ill give it to him to call you if your interested.

if u get an ebay kit u'll still need some time of fuel management. if your just trying to get boosted quick i would custom build a kit for about 500-800$. **** will be pretty fast. u'll need a welder. just a cheap one from pep boys or harbor freight for like 100$. this will come in handy a lot more than u think. buy an intercooler used or from ebay. buy a used 14b turbo with an HF manifold with the adapter plate already on. or since u'll already have a welder weld it urself. buy the oil lines, fittings to tap ur oil pan(requires welding sometimes.),weld the intercooler piping, weld the down pipe and the whole exhaust, then u can get any type of engine managment or just buy an FMU. buy a 30$ boost controller, and bosst 5-8 ponds of boost and u'll run on a lot of ****. pretty good for a 500$ build. reliable too. my brother ran on two 5.0 mustangs at the track twice each. ohh yea i just bought my piping from the gaurden senction at lowes. same **** at the exhaust shops.

ohh yea forgot it'll run on an integra gsr w/ exhaust, intake, and msd ingnition.

96Hatchy: props to the custom setup.

Few things though:

</TD></TR></TABLE>

DIY is never faster then just buying a complete kit. Bolt-on is always faster than complete fab - hands down.

Irrigation pipe and exhaust pipe's only similarity is they're both made from steel (probably not the same alloy though). Unlike exhaust tubing, Irrigation pipe is galvanized, so welding it and breathing the zinc-fumes will take some years off your life.

if its ur first turbo kit, dont build one, just buy a kit. a kit will be much easier and it will make good power... then later down the road u will know what u need to build a homemade kit. the kit will cost a little more but will have everything to bolt on and go
