I hear a lot of generl info and wisdom that is passed on such as:

"for every 10th you shave off of your 60 ft, you shave 2 tenths off of your ET"

and "if a car is trapping xxx mph, then they are putting down x horsepower"

well if you wouldnt mind, please list all of these tidbits of wisdom so that this thread can potentially serve as a cliff notes guide to drag racing.

 

my general rule is, if you miss a gear you will bounce off the rev limiter..

hey you know this is the line that the movie copied from Ralphy Estevez at DRTRacing.com right ? he was the actual "racerX" they made the movie about and used his lines ...

they did compensate him for it ...
