Default Does anyone here make equal length manifolds at a good price?

I'm looking for someone that has good experience making equal length turbo manifolds for B-series engines at a decent price. I've seen them around 350 but the person was new and didn't have vouches or any kind of warranty against cracks.

Yea considering it's Thick walled 304L stainless tig welded piping. I may just go with the person I found charging 350 and hope it's solid

Make sure its equal length, thats all I'm saying. Thats why I said its pretty cheap, by the way it don't really matter that its thick walled piping, if the welds suck, the manifold will crack. Pipe does not crack, welds do.

check this out and explain how it is this cheap.....this is ruining the market if lots of units are actually being sold with junk parts.

dont think this wasn't going to stay on topic for too long. If you would search, you would find your answer. 10,953 different people, including me, make tubular manifolds ranging in prices just like the cost of a Geo Storm compared to a Bugatti Veyron.

Every other person low balling everyone, trying to beat prices is whats ruining the market as well.

About how many hours does it take to make one manifold? Just curious.

I'm not sure, but if I had to guess i'd say 3-5 hours depending on experience

You would be wrong in my case. I have made manifolds for years and I dont think I can do one start to finish in 3-5. A log I can do in 1 hour 45 mins. Ram horn is different. Cutting the collector takes a good chunk of time. actually assembly is quick.

wow, that seems rather backwards if you ask me.... im not a "profesional" manifold fabricator by any means, but **** the collector damn near cuts it self out. being that you have a "collector jig"/bandsaw. imo fitting the whole shebang up takes longer than cutting the collector..

Unless you have a really expensive bandsaw, cutting collectors takes a long time. It's 8 cuts across 5 inches of PIPE. Not gonna be fast by any means.

Our Amada HA250. It was approx $35,000 in the early 1980's when we bought it new. We plan on stepping up to the HA400 because the 250 only cuts up to 12" pipe, tube, flat bar, etc.

Anything over a G for me. **** I have a $149 HF special bandsaw. It cut all sorts of crooked until I modificated the crap out of it.

Best statement ever

It's like "what car should I buy, that's cheap, fast and reliable?" Well, a car like this doesn't exist, unless the expectations are really really low (some guys consider a Toyota Corolla fast, or an Eagle Talon to be reliable, you never know).
