crankshaft oil seal flywheel end

Default crankshaft oil seal flywheel end

has anyone on here had there crank seal fail on them, my poor teg is dripping oil out and my mechanic reckons its got to be this seal?

It's most likely the rear main seal. It will usually fail at some point in an engine's life. It's easy to replace once the transmission is off.
