Default type R questions

i was thinking about getting a type-r tranny for my gsr

so i thought i would ask everyone one here their opinion of what i should do

cause i was thinking of making things a little bit different and getting a civic type r tranny......does anyone have anything to say about this or explain to me why i should go itr.

96 spec ITR = USDM ITR = CTR = B16 trannies have all the same gearing. Don't pay more to get a CTR tranny when a B16 tranny (+ aftermarket LSD) will do fine.

okwell can you explain to me the difference between the b16 and gsr tranny??

should i just get a lsd for my gsr tranny or do you guys think a b16 w/lsd would be better

A B16 tranny will be more fun on a GSR because of the shorter gearing. B16 w/LSD = better on performance, slightly not with MPG.

ok well on that note do you know anywhere is so cal i can get a good price on one?in good condition....or even a rebuilt one?

also any websites that would have a good deal on lsd.
and can you help me out with lsd termanolagy.such as 1,1.5,ect?
and what companies make a good lsd?

sorry for all the questions but i will never learn if i dont ask.
(i cant spell good)

I am sure you can find one in the So Cal classifieds. Search LSD for more options.
