ok Stock 97 ex daliy driver and nothing modded just a clarion stereo that was there when i bought the car. Here goes today when i was changing the radio, a/c trim, the one that thieves break when the steal your radio. well i took every thing apart and when i took off my cup holder (changing that too, doesn't close) i saw i gray piece of rug and was like what the hell is this. so i remove that rug piece and find a stock radio. i was like hell yeah free money i'm going to sell that b***h. well i went inside to eat and it got dark so said i'll finish that tommorow, my wife told me hey stuiped you left the dome light on so i go to open it and the remote locks don't work. it won't open or close if that stock radio ain't powered. What do i do to fix this i can just leave the radio there it doesn't bug me at all but would like to know whats going on. ANY ONE KNOW WHY.

 

You must have the radio there. It contains the dome-light relay and the keyless entry brain.

There's only one way around it:

Splice wires so your dome light works, and run the keyless entry through an aftermarket alarm system.

those days are long gone maybe when i was like 15-17, but when me and my buddy got caught once, he almost went to jail because he was 17.95yrs (i think he had a week, before his birthday.) but a 30 pack is hard to hide in my pocket. also what are you doing up this late checking posts. i know what i'm doooiiinnnggg BUT WHAT ARE YOUUUU DOOOIIINNNGGG

yeah what are you doing i'm waiting because i'm going to play halo2 and my connection is only good after midnight which i think is late unless i'm getting old like my grandpa. he goes to sleep as soon as the sun goes down. do you play halo2?
