hey, am looking for an alarm for my car, and I am not normally a cheap person, but I keep thinking about all those damn alarms on ebay for hella cheap prices. Are any of these really any good (i.e. $160 and under), or is it just a waste of my money to give me a false sense of security? thanx.
like Teken said.. don't waste your money on those cheap E-bay alarms for cheap prices.. even the name brand alarms on Ebay (Clifford, Viper/DEI, Alpine).. the companies are probably not going to honor the lifetime warranty because it was not sold and installed by an authorized dealer..so if anything goes wrong w/ the alarm brain, and whatever other components its not going to be covered under warranty...
just go to circuit city or any other place to buy the alarm. there price they advertise is installed. but the normal price isnt that bad at all. i know circuti shitty is not usually looked at in a good way, but in the aspect i would actualyl buy an alarm from them. oh wait! i did. hah. and i got it free (parents, back in high school) and they isntalled it. that way i get the full coverage from dei. but i later reinstalled it to my liking. i put the brain up behind the cluster. muhaha. thats jsut my .02 cents.
