By who?
they've had some {minor} issues with their new generation Civics but nothing out of the ordinary for a completley new chassis/engine design.... and comparing a Honda to a Hyundai is ludicrous! lawl

We own both a Hyundai XG350L and a Honda Civic Hybrid. I guess I was expecting the quality I found in the Honda. But I wasn't expecting the quality I found in the Hyundai. They're both newer vehicles, so maybe time will tell me something more than I know now. But don't run Hyundai down too much quite yet...

The Forbes.com article is a little off in their recall description. What they call a "defective voltage converter" is actually;
What is the reason for this notice?
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has decided that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2006 Civic Hybrid vehicles. Certain parts of your vehicle's integrated motor assist (IMA) system are located under a metal cover behind the rear seat-back. Over time the weight of rear seat passengers may cause the metal cover to come into contact with a rubber cap covering an electrical terminal. The rubber cap may get pinched, exposing the electrical terminal. The terminal may come into contact with the metal cover, which can result in an electrical short that may blow the IMA fuse. A blown fuse will cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
I hate when my engine stalls and I crash...
All kidding aside, I had the recall work done, and it took about 1.5 hrs. They have to remove the rear seat to do it.
