Default ~* SW CANADIAN Expo 7 Caravan FTW *~

I thought I'd put it out there

I know it is a dream - but fack, how I would love to attend this with you guys. IF we were to get enough 'nucks in on a caravan to dare venture into the depths of the USA - I would find myself more likely to go

I wonder what the cost of something like this would be to a R owner. Google maps says it's a 4,781 km trip from my home town. Sigh. According to my trusty calculator - that's about 11 fill-ups ONE WAY - and IF I were to get 400km per tank, and good luck with that.

Here's the map, and directions. lmfao

COMMON NORTH WESTERNERS! LETS DOOOO IT!!!

I have considered attending since Expo 5. I do plan on going next year and either towing my car or having it shipped.

You only get 400kms to a tank on the highway? That sucks. I can drive 1/2 hour past Seattle AND do a half day at the track at WOT before I need to fill up.

Make the drive... it is an experience.
My trip to and from Laguna Seca was almost as nice as driving on the track.

I really DO want to go, I just don't think it's feasable right now. I'm just starting my new job soon too...

22 fillups is a LOT of gas $ and that's not incl. any other expenses (which tehre would be plenty)

that would be one hell of a road trip dont just make it an Expo trip, make it a trip of a lifetime

run 87 octane for the road trip to save a few bucks on gas!

white rocket and I are discussing the possibility of attending next years... prolly only in one car though.

I agree, $880 in gas is not doable. And no way 87 octane you kidder - jeesh!

My tow vehicle would be a diesel so we'd get good fuel mileage .

<<<was not kidding. did 87 octane on the way to Expo 5. Youll be fine for the trip on 87octane. In fact Id be willing to bet you wouldnt even notice the difference.

Trouble is 87 octane is now hovering at the $1/litre mark. In some provinces much more than that.

it gets cheaper the farther you go on your route. Id even venture to guess gas prices in the middle of the USA are pretty cheap.
