i have a ?
like it starts if its cold but when its warmed up and everything or ran for a while it just wot start not the battery anything like that just got engine put in last summer so idk just trying to figure out whats wrong i got all the money to fix it if i find out but i wanted to find out on here what it was before i end up spending loads of money at a place were they just guess and replace ****
well, theres a few things you can check.
Just make sure if you're doing these checks, you buy a multimeter and test light.
You can get em both for round like $25.... They help out alot with small electrical stuff like this.
Id look for diagrams on youre electrical system. It could possibly be bad fuse or faulty wiring, so look for that. Also check your main relay(computer/fuel) and make sure you are getting power to the certain parts. The main relay usually consists of a small box in car under drivers side by fuses, it deals with ignition, ecm, fuel pump, battery, starter switch, and ground. So this is where test light comes in handy or multimeter.
Just make sure you look at the electrical type things first b/c you do not wanna be out buying all this stuff for your car you dont need b/c you think its the problem.
A few days ago, i finally got my 94 acura integra ls running after it was sitting for bout 4 weeks.
I had to wait for nice day out to look at everything, but when i looked, i took out the back seats in my car to listen to fuel pump. I was not getting fuel to engine and thats why it wasnt starting.
I checked the wiring and sure enough, it was main relay part to fuel pump screwed up. So got new fuse/chip for that part and it runs perfect. hope this helps ya out.

I could never figure out what it was (this was on a Maxima though).

I had the same problem in my gsr about a year ago, but for the life of me I can't remember what the problem was. I know it wasn't the main relay, I will try to think or search through my old posts
i had this problem a year or so ago in my 94 ls. from what i remember reading, when its hot out, the solder in the main relay melts apart, causing it to lose connection. after a while when it cools off and "resolder itself" your car will be able to start.....

It doesn't melt, it's just that over time the solder on the connections cracks from vibrations and the very fine cracks expand as the solder heats during use and high ambient temperatures, which breaks the circuit. As it cools, everything shrinks back down and makes contact again, and you can start your car again.

Had a similar problem but it wasn't the ignition relay, it was the starter itself. Some days it would start right up, other days it would take more than a couple of tries before I would ever get it to crank. Like you said, cold days and days when the car was cold seemed to be the worst.
I checked everything out and it turns out the starter in the car was the original (or at least it had all of the signs of being the original). Replace it and haven't had a problem sense.

Mine did this too a few times in the freezing cold. If it's the starter, you'll hear a pretty loud click (you'd have to be deaf not to hear it) when you turn the key to the start position, but it won't crank. You can tap on the starter with a hammer or something a couple times lightly and it should at least temporarily fix it. When mine did it, I loosened the starter, retightened it, and that seemed to fix it for a while, and it only ever did it when it was really cold (10 or 20 degrees outside).
