I need to know what goes into this hole in the part of the intake that goes to the throttle body. Also those 2 things at the top of it that looks like something snaps into it, what goes there? There is also one on the top side also. Here is the pic


ALSO, where my finger is pointing there is a hole from the U shape part of the intake that goes to the resontator, is it supposed to be exposed like that?

Well on my stock GS-R intake tube there is this plastic thingy that attaches to that big hole in the tube, which goes nowhere. The end of it snaps to those things which are near the filter-end of my intake pipe. A Mobil1 quart oil cap fits that hole perfectly. It should have a small hose clamp on it, I just stuck a Mobil1 cap in there and tightened up the hose clamp. Can't help ya on that hole in your airbox.

 

It is a "loop" that doesnt seem to go anywhere...I say Plug it up good and dont worry unless you get the CEL on!!!

 

hmm a mobile one cap, maybe i'll use that lol i gotta bring it in for the IAC valve and had to put it back to stock

 

actually now that i look at it, i don't think a oil cap will fit in there semi snug

 

There is a small "U" shaped tube that attatches to the upper pipe. I believe it is supposed to be part of the stock resonation system to reduce that intake sound we all love to hear.

 

holy **** there is already a huge resonator, they don't need more
