Default Check out this manifold..??

Hey guys, you think there is any added benifit to running this compared to a log style manifold? It's kinda a log with extended runners and a top mount? Just wondering if anyone has heard of this before, or knew anything about em?

It fits great, ive seen it on the car itself. CRP is a local shop and has always made pretty sturdy manifolds. Ive just never seen this one, and it's the manifold in a kit i wanted to buy, but im kinda questioning it now..??

Looks like the runners should be similar to a mini me set up but like stated above, I wonder how the fitment will be, cause my mini me goes about 3-4 inches into where the radiator used to be.

well i was actually going to trade him my old kit and a few bucks for his kit, simply becuase its got a 3'' DP, 2.5'' IC Piping, and this manifold. But i was under the impression it was a Top Mount, not a Top Log? If thats what we're calling it.

Kinda second guessing it now..

mini-me is a the same as an LS/VTEC except for a D series. It is a non-vtec bottom end coupled with a VTEC head

Why is everyone so ******* obsessed with top mounts? Top, bottom, side...jesus christ who cares. A properly designed manifold with make good power regardless of how the turbo is mounted. Just because its called a top mount or mounts the turbo in that manner doesn't mean its going to magically make more power. You do realize one of the main reasons to run a top mount is so that you can run a 4" downpipe, right?

I swear a week after Full-Race released their manifold, every fabricator on this site was offering a "top-mount." Yes, people probably made manifolds like this before Full-Race, but you can't deny the marketing power they have. Top mount style manifolds were not as wildly popular as they are until after the release of the Full-Race top mount.

That is just a longer runner log manifold. I'd say its worth $300 at best, any more than that and you're getting taken. It might perform better than a regular log manifold, which might be fine for a modest built setup. I wouldn't try and push the limits on it though.

Well to say that im "******* obsessed" with top mounts is kinda retarded, being i favor a ram-horn style mani. more, this was just a part of a deal that popped up and ive never seen this style of a manifold. Maybe before you go over-assessing my situation you should take into acount i was asking about the benifits of running one vs. the one i already have.

he is referring to a mini-me manifold, which is a design similar to the spoolin Quick 4 mani.
