valve cover gromits. lost one
i lost a gromit while changing the valve cover gasket. they`ll take 4 days to order a set of 7 for 27.95
is there some way i can substitute the gromit with say metal washers and a rubber washer and use it in the middle valve cover bolt?
also can i just pull one off any hoda they look to be all the same size but im not sure and the junk yard close before i get off work

for 30.00 you can get a whole new valve cover gasket set.
But yeah I would say to get you by you could use a grommet from just about any honda.
If you do that you will want to replace them as soon as possible with the right ones.

I lost one once and I looked at all of the departmant stores around town and could not find one that fit. I ended up needing to buy one from Honda. You don't need to get a whole new set. I ordered one from honda and it was only like 3 dollars.
got off early from work and went to the junkyard and saw the first da ide seen in a parts lot in a year or so. valve cover, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, valves, springs most everything gone stripped....but i found three of the gromits on the ground laying ontop of the hood. cleaned them up and good to go. didnt cost me but a dollar.
