do they make any difference drilled, slotted, or plain?

They know what they are talking about, drilled rotors crack easily. Save money and go with blanks. I think nopi.com has some brembo oem replacement blanks for a pretty good price.

Marketplace here has great pricing on brembo blanks and ceramic pads. Once I get my new big brake setup I'm going with some of those.

Blanks all the way. No use spending over twice as much for absolutely ZERO performance gains...

so autozone/advance/etc are just as good as the brembo blanks if you're running aftermarket pads (hawk, ebc, etc.)?

There is probably an arguable difference, but there is really no way to tell. You can try the cheap rotors, and if you don't have a problem then great...

Most people running upgraded brake setups acknowledge that rotors are a wear item. Neither the AutoZone / Duralast nor the Brembo blanks are particularly expensive and both perform well, so pick up whichever is most convenient for you.
