Default speaker interconnect wire

what does the speaker interconnect cable do?
i have an mtx 4244 440 watt, 4 channel amp for my 3-ways and i was wondering what this wiring does

Are you talking about speaker wire, or speaker adapters? The adapters are vehicle specific and allow you to plug into the factory speaker plugs to connect aftermarket speakers so you don't cut off the factory plug. It's easier and easily reversible.

no, its a wires and a harness that came with the 4 channel amplifier, it has its own plug on the side of the amp, just wondering what it was for

It's the high level input for the amp. It's for systems that are using the stock headunit.
