I didn't mean just pic's of a Role Cage you bought off Safedrivers.com for $250.00, I'm talking about $2,000.00+ Custom Cages that are badass. Full Race Car Cage's, Street Cage's (ouch!) if your dumb enough to run one, or any combination of the two.

There are tons of threads, but most of them have broken image links.
I'd love to see a new/updated thread to cure the broken link problem...

LOL I told the cage builder that if I ever flipped the car 8-9 times, I wanted to come out in one piece regardless what my car looked like.

lol..
i was pretty happy with mine but I'm too lazy to find the threads with them in it.. they're in RR/AX and cross posted in here I assume someplaces as well..
i've never heard of someone wanting to see cages to "compete against" though..

heres the one I put in my R over the last three weeks of evenings..
Took about 30 hours all in, but basically we built the cage, apart from the main hoop and the a pillar bars, which were already bent..
The rest we notched ourselves, and sprayed it myself (first time with the 2k gun, so dont be too harsh on the finish)
What we started off with.. cusco cage, not worth a **** in a roll..

Uk time attack, and UK Nippon challenge..
Gonna be a time consuming build, as we are going to run a GT3071R on a built laskey block, so heat is going to be the issue, have most of the parts here for it now, so going to start putting it back together next week.. should be fun when its done (I hope

Screaming Vtec, some thoughts on your cage:

I'm wondering why you did the areas circled in red. Especially that little nubbin sticking up from the center of the floor at the bottom, which you then welded the small diagonals to.
I'm also wondering why you have no diagonal in the main hoop, like the blue line would be (although thinking about it, your car is RHD, so the direction would be switched).
I know there are multiple viewpoints on harness attachment, but I'm assuming you'd run them to that rear strut bar, FIA style?

Regarding that little nubbin, I had some drawings of a rollcentre cage (fia approved) which had that there so I did the same..
The diagonal in the main hoop, I may still do, however We are having to sort out seat position (which I am trying to move back as far as possible) and I already have very limited headroom, even with the seat directly on the floor (im 6'4")
Not many cages over here have a main hoop diagonal
At the moment I have more worries with the engine build than the cage

Interesting. I should read up on FIA design a little more, as a lot of it doesn't make sense to me. I hear you on the headroom thing though. I'm 6'2" and my brother is 6'4". I'm lucky that the Civic roofline is a few inches higher than the Integra one

cage is nice, but I don't think the placement of the battery switch is a good idea since the nuts on the back are "live" and are within easy reach...

So many things to do, and so little time (and no garage).
