So even though I didn't sign up for expo because of financial reasons, I just could afford it, should I still drive down?

Like would I be able to hang out with everyone? Ive never been there before. Id be bringing a 218 whp 142 ftlbs 1.8 liter ITR on ITB's haha...

Just a thought, wanted to see what yall opinions were.

 

of course you can. You're more than welcome to join us. If you want to go to the banquet (and I suggest you do) you'll need to register and pay for that. lots of great prizes to be won as always and the banquet is always a blast.

 

im just saying i can get into VIR right? and sit and watch or something? I really don't know how it allworks, but i would sign up for the banquet...I would sign up for the actual Expo if I still could

well registration for the event is still open, but I understand if its not in the cards. Yes you can get in. There are alot of people going who aren't tracking their cars.

So sign up for the banquet and come on down.

Hell yes you can come. I am going and not driving (will be rockin Jon D's GSR) so there will be planty of people to hang out with, but at least register for the banquet. You can even roll down with us in the NE caravan

In case it's not clear from the other posts - if you want to sign up for the driving school (the track event at VIR), you can still do that, too. (As others also mentioned, you can also sign up for just the banquet and not the track event if you want.)

 

Think about it this way: last year i drove out to Expo signed up for the banquet only. I sat and watched both days as R after R flew by me and the only thing i regret is that i didnt have the money for a drivers spot. I was able to hop in and ride with a few of the other guys tho, all i had to do was ask. This is how i got bit by the road track racing bug. Expo is a great time whether you drive or not just because you get to meet everyone that you already know through this board and plus, fwiw i spent $35 on a banquet ticket and ended up winning $100 in Cobalt Racing gift certificates.

Definitely come, especially since its not too far from you and you can tag along with the rest of us in the NE caravan.

Im trying to get RedR to fly in from Portugal And I know tartje from the UK is thinking about it as well. Well worth the trip IMO even if its just to hang out and act semi we-todd-did.

Last year I was only a spectator and I'll tell ya, even not driving was a blast. Sign up and come on out.

 

Thanks for posting this... I was wondering the same... I should still be in NC at the time (but i'm not 100% sure) and would love to tag along on the SE caravan and watch... plus the little old lady loves her some ITR's and she'd really enjoy just watching anyway.
