Default J35 swap impossible, right?!

There is a kid who's convinced it is possible because someone told him he had one. However, I have NEVER seen nor heard of a J35 being swapped into an EG/Ek. As far as I'm concerned it's physically impossible nor feasible. It would be all over magazines & the internet if it happend, also every ricer in the world would be talking about doing it.

Can I get an general consensus of agreement here?

feasible no
but with enough money anything can happen its just a question of how much you want to spend (ex. two engines in a golf. been done but extremely expensive)

Ok, so pretty much the answer is No, this cannot happen under normal circumstances. No one in their right mind would do it.

Wow, talk about making the car understeer even more now that it has all that weight in the front...

OP... not impossible. Just not practical.

dont hate, thats a clean install of something that is not so plug and play, instead of piping off about negative things how about you give some props. dont forget back in the day the import scene was about originality.

Well that's a V6 swap, which I had already heard about 1 or two of them, however that is not a J35. That is just the 3.2 motor.

Btw, what's that thing run? or is it even running? Is it the first one they've tried swapping into?

Originality does not always mean practicality though. That's a lot of work for that engine. There becomes a point when you can have too much power. So much that you can't put it onto the ground.

500whp with a built boosted b18 setup would be cheaper + faster.....

Seriously, he's pointing out the fact that it's not practical, and that is all.

I don't personally know the guy but I'm sure he'd give props for all the work done and the cleanliness of the install...

no way i street drive on a 1000whp no prob jk i know what you mean and what EKcivicEX was pointing out was correct, but there is still something nice to be admired about that much work, practical or not, perhaps i should have just stated my opinion without commenting on his as we both have good points.

There must have been tons of cutting involved? or is the EF bay any bigger than the EG/EK?

Since when is anything in this import world practical. Dumping thousands of dollars into a 5 thousand dollar car. NO. My civic practical with my H22 in it. NO I've dumped more money into it than it's worth, same for my prelude. I dumped 10,000 into that car. None of this stuff is practical, it's just all doing what we love to do. If somone wants to dump a v6 into a yaris, and has the money to do it, go for it. I don't do this **** because it makes sense, or it should or shouldn't be done. I do it for the love of the hobby.

Thank you... geez, can't say **** without gettng flack about it. I'm in no way hating.

Props to anyone willing to attempt a swap of that magnitude. Like ^he said, I'm stating a bit of practicality. I know I wouldn't attempt something like that but I'd definitely tear *** around in someone else's if they let me drive it

I'm all for originality, but originality does not always = good idea. May I remind you of all those hideous body kits?? One of a kind y0!
