Default When will my timing belt break?

My car has 208,000 miles on it. I bought it 20,000 miles ago... The water pump and timing belt were changed around 144K miles which was in 1998. So it hasn't had a ton of miles put on it in the last couple of years. Is it getting time for a new water pump and timing belt? They have been on there for 60,000 miles.

Thanks!

Correct, I had a timing belt go out on my old Integra at 75k. So don't wait until your timing belt rips.

always keep on top of maintenance. My friends just broke at 70k and now needs valve job but is swapping ls vtec instead. So unless you realy want an excuse for a swap or something like that, I would stay on the 60k routine.

When you buy a car, and you don't know when the belt has been replaced, do it rightaway. You never know...

In this case, i think it's not a bad idea to change it ASAP. 60.000 miles or 5 years is the interval if i'm correct.

Honda recommends 5years or 90,000 miles whichever comes first . Some people say 105,000 miles is what Honda Recommends but I wouldnt push it past 90,000 miles . My shop has been changing them at 90,000 miles ever since I can remember

Its breaking right now. When it actually snaps, who knows, but I wouldn't trust that on my engine.

I bought an a6 off some guy with 159k on it. I drove it for like 5-6k miles and it randomly snapped on me. Now I know to change it before I swap the motor in...

Valves were bent to ****

Damn interference engines. My bosses timing belt snapped on his escort and his car was fine... But escorts are lame so well. Yeah... I should probably do that... Doesn't seem like it would be too hard. Just need the money. If mine breaks it isn't really and "excuse" to do a motor swap, cause I couldn't afford that. Haha. I helped change a head gasket, timing belt, water pump on the "accord from hell" in my autos class so I should be ok with doing it. THanks.
