Are you using the Zeus to power all of your internals or just the fronts? Nice setup you got going, good job.

how much of a difference does that preamp/eq make? I'm thinking of buying one, but figured its a waste since im using rockford amps.

umm the eq NEEDS to be up front.
that eq is also a preamp.
the whole point is to raise output voltage to make preamp nice and clean.

and boro
RF amps LOVE input voltage
buy an eq with a strong (8v or more) and those RFs will come alive
audiocontrol four.1 and three.1 are powerhouses

or just buy an eclipse 5v+

is that your speakerwire going through your door???
omg you actually drilled holes in a perfectly good integra for no reason???
that also means that the crossovers are in the doors! (1 pr wires)
whats wrong with factory wire???
if you went through all that work to get wires through, why not use factory boot??
at least you used grommets, but what happened to the grommet in your firewall?

you asked what we thought

yep i drilled, it doesnt bother me one bit. From what i know it would of taken me double the time to go though factory boot. Its a 95' GSR, I could care less that when I sell it in about 3-4 years, I will get 100 bucks less because it was drilled. or whatnot, looks pretty clean anyhow.

It will keep your power wire from chaffing...very important that ALL wires passing through any tupe of sheetmetal have gormmets to protect them.

A note on EQ's...they are not the savior of car audio. They are meant to be a fine tuning device, not to correct for things like incorrect driver placement, incorrect crossover point selection, poor mounting/instalation. (then again, i will have 93 total bands of EQ)

Also, there is nothing wrong with RF. They deliver good power for the dollar, and are very reliable amps. They may not be the best on the market, but they are far from the bottom.

Get your system properly installed and tuned before you turn to an EQ...it's not a bandaid.

gotcha about the plug, will do... what are you saying is wrong with the EQ ? the only reason i am using it really is to controll the fading between front and back. since mt HU only has 1 RCA out. If you mean that it HAS to be upfront. I am sure a few extra feet of wire wont make that huge of a difference. I am not a perfectionalist. I bet I couldnt even tell if it was upfront vs. back.

If you want a sub amp, the JBL mono blocks are excellent and are very cheap. Other good amps are autotek, phoenix gold, hifonics, diamond audio, MMATS, ppi, JL, MTX, memphis, and the list goes on and on...

What available now...Best....Blade, Brax, Helix..up there Arc Audio(personal fav), a/d/s/, Phoenix Ti's are great. There are other's, but are escaping me. Did I mention Arc? Zapco...Diamonds are supposed to be excellent, and watch out for the new Type RF's from Rockford...I have no experience with them yet, so I won't comment.

Good...JL, PG tantrum...really good amps there, I don't know there are a whole slew that are in the good range, but few in the excellent range. Some people argue that all amps sound the same...well, if they did, then audiophiles would all be using Pyramid and Road Gear.

I think it was since they have been selling them on HT.

I would have to agree with you on this. They build nice speakers, but I'll pass on the amps.

Nice Hifonics, I am glad to see they are still around. Now this is a great amp.
