Hutchens Hybrid head and neck restraint
Those graphs are too small to read and the Isaac isn't listed on them. I'd really like to see the new Hutchens Hybrid compared to the Isaac. The HANS is a good design, but I hope they're constantly trying to find ways to make it better rather than just collecting checks.
I really wish that the SFI would change the rule to include the Isaac, but that's another story all together. When I start racing I will purchase a H&N restraint. Hopefully the BS is resolved by then, or I'll have to go with a sanctioning body that values safety over bureaucracy (if one exists).

you can prolly find better/bigger graphs elsewhere on the safedrives site. it looks better than the HANS or R3 predecessor, which both seem better to me (from my research/reading) than the ISAAC (which still seems better than the old Hutchens).

huh? The HANS is no where near as good as ISAAC, where did you do your research?
The side impact should be the deal breaker for HANS. Look at the graphs here and also read about how the HANS doesn't keep the belts on in side and angled impacts

They aren't done by ISAAC, so they aren't biased. Any safety item that is tested "in house" and not by independent labs (more than one) should be avoided at all costs. I'm sure you'll find that the Hutchens is tested by independent labs too (I hope).
The HANS doesn't have the same protection as the Hutchens and the ISAAC when it comes to angled impacts. How many racing accidents are at 90*?
