Over the past month I have been researching different springs for the CRX and collecting the specs directly from the manufacturers. The information was gathered directly from the manufactures and is accurate. Here are the spring rates that i have found in Kg/mm and also in Lbs./in

I was dissapointed to learn that H&R sports specs were never released because they are well liked by many people. I was also dissapointed to learn that Eibach sportlines and pro-kit uses exactly the same spring rates????

Just one thing: All the springs listed here look to be progressive rate springs, so even though it states that Neuspeed Race is 575lb/in front and 540 lb/in rear I am assuming that this is at full compression? I would imagine they are a fair amount softer than that at initial compression. Reason I say this is that I used to run Neuspeed Race and went to Eibach ERS on Ground Controls. A 500 lb/in linear rate spring is stiffer than the 540 lb/in Neuspeed.

 

 

Maybe expand to add the hatch's also??? Wouldn't mind seeing the K-sports' either, as I'm interested in those.

all Ed's are the same.

its too bad all the harder springs drop too much, i live in the mountains and scrape going places w/ just a 1.5" drop
at least the softer rates help on dirt roads

 

anybody know the rate for the sprint race and the sprint sports for the crx?

 

i dont wanna sound like a dick, but shouldn't it be lbs/inch since thats how much weight it takes to compress the spring to 1 inch?

I will add one to the list:

Ground Control Coilovers -&gt; Spring rate = whatever you want!

 

How about generic coilover rates. They should be right around s2 correct?

 

Buy linear and pick your own rates and lengths.

my skunk2's are soft as hell. i would've never guessed they were 257lbs in the front, and 112lbs in the back when not compressed in a turn. god damn they get stiff in a turn though according to the chart.

Here's the conversion from kg/mm to lbs/in (I don't speak metric that well) --&gt;

1 kilogram / millimeter = 55.9974146 pounds / in

I was incredibly disappointed with my H+R Race springs. too low, too soft. I don't mind a jouncy ride, but there was no response.

 

Ouch my tenzo springs arent up there. LoL.

 

Now that I have my eibach sportlines on order (to raise the car up until my order for zeals comes in) I will be using the Quantum Spring Rater this friday to actually measure what these springs are, not just what the factory says they're rated at. My moneys that the H+Rs are wildly off and the eibachs are fairly on point, just my .02.
