I noticed when changing the battery from my 90 crx si to my 89 that the batteries were different. I know nothing about batteries so I didn't know if I could change em out.

The 90 says 51-1 while the 89's says 5R-L ?

 

strange, i think hondas are supposed to use the small skinny battery, notihgn else
