I have had an ACT 2600lbs clutch in my DSM; it held tons of power however felt like doing legpresses.

I had a Exedy, I believe stage 1 in a built DA; It held up pretty well and it was easy to drive.

I would recommend both brands; but would say the Exedy for your application.

O.E. isn't too shabby. Exedy stage 1 is a good brand for stock applications. I'm currently running a Hyper-Clutch. Soft pedal, loads of clamping, and kevlar friction for long life. I can chirp third gear if i wanted to.

Check the sponsors or fs thread there is a guy that sells clutches he is from Tennessee.
I got a 6 puck (can't remember if sprung or unsprung) they are rated at over 300 ft pound of torque.

Very good quality and very strong. Pedal feel is a little stiffer over stock but not to where it feels uncomfortable. Cost around 250.00 shipped or something but very good price and quality.

I have the act xtss with the street disc for drivability. I love it. It has a firmer clutch pedal feel than stock, but I got used to it after a few weeks. I'm going turbo and my old clutch went out so I found it to be the perfect opportunityto upgrade.

Edit: what part of houston are you from? I'm from around katy..

I purchased the Exedy stage 1 clutch and lightend flywheel kit off ebay for $309 after shipping and it works great. Just right for the street driven and for the week-end trips to the strip.
